Delivered in 1987, Sheergold (ex. Serafina) was launched during the early years of Amels yacht building legacy and was built to the same dimensions as the 1984 yacht Jamaica Bay (now Tranquillity), apart from the superstructure.
Her superstructure styling and interior design is by Jon Bannenberg while DIANA is responsible for her hull design and complete naval architecture. Sheergold features traditional lines and a canoe stern. She boasts a vintage interior with classic wood finishes, including herringbone wood-panelling. Her main saloon includes Chesterfield-style sofas and rich dark wood throughout.
Sheergold can accommodate up to eight guests across four staterooms, including a full-beam main deck owner’s suite, plus a VIP suite and two twin staterooms on the lower deck aft, all with ensuite bathrooms. There is also room onboard for nine crew, across five cabins.
The upper deck of Sheergold features an alfresco dining area and also doubles as storage area for her tender while underway. Her sundeck offers an ideal spot for sunbathing, while her main deck features occasional chairs for a more casual seating arrangement.
In terms of performance, Sheergold is powered by twin Caterpillar engines, providing her with a cruising speed of 11.5 knots and a top speed of 13 knots.
