Delivered in 2025 by Van der Valk Shipyard, Jangada is the third custom build for the same owner, following earlier vessels of 25 and 32 metres. The 35.87-metre motor yacht is the result of more than a decade of collaboration between owner, shipyard, and designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot.
Higher demands on personal comfort shaped the design. Significantly elevated noise and vibration attenuation requirements led to the adoption of a steel hull paired with an aluminium superstructure, complemented by exceptional sound insulation throughout.
Her exterior maintains the elegant raised pilothouse aesthetic of her predecessors while introducing an additional deck, the increased volume integrated seamlessly through sophisticated graphic lines and a muscular yet timeless design language.
Inside, expansive glazing and 2.6-metre ceiling heights create a wonderfully open atmosphere with strong visual connections to the sea. A full-beam master stateroom occupies the main deck foredeck, while lower deck cabins are tailored to the owner’s children and grandchildren.
Every detail aboard Jangada serves a purpose. A 4.5-metre jet-stream pool on the flybridge, a bow seat precisely positioned to frame the sunset over the owner’s home bay on the French Riviera, and a passarelle adapted to his home marina reflect a level of customisation that goes far beyond the standard brief.
Twin Seakeeper gyros and fin stabilisers ensure confident seakeeping, while a six-metre Williams tender, launched from a dedicated side-door garage, offers comfortable journeys ashore. She reaches a top speed of 14.15 knots and cruises comfortably at 13 knots.
Jangada is the result of a close collaboration between Van der Valk Shipyard and Diana Yacht Design, with naval architecture developed together with Ginton Naval Architects, combining Dutch craftsmanship with thoughtful, deeply personalised architecture.
