ASIA, build by Royal Hakvoort in Monnickendam, is a majestic, 61m superyacht that stands as a testament to exquisite design and luxury. With its raked bow, sleek exterior styling, and generous exterior spaces, ASIA promises an unparalleled yachting experience. Meticulously planned to maximize conviviality, the layout beautifully aligns with the owner’s lifestyle, offering both elegance and functionality.
Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design have crafted the living areas of ASIA around a central staircase, ensuring an impeccable flow between spaces. Wider passageways than typically found on yachts of this size facilitate ease of movement for both the owner and guests.
ASIA boasts a wealth of amenities, each space distinctive in character and purpose. Key highlights include a large gym on the bridge deck with 270-degree views, a massage parlour, hospital room, sauna in the beach club, and a beauty salon on the owner’s deck. Paul Costerus, Lead Designer at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, explains, “The spread of function throughout ASIA was a key requirement set by this owner. They wanted to ensure each area was enjoyed and used at different times of the day and for different purposes.” The deck spaces are open and free, with more aft deck space liberated by integrating exterior staircases into the superstructure.
Natural light is a pivotal element in ASIA’s design, with large glass windows providing exceptional panoramic vistas from the social and living areas onboard. The yacht features two exceptional lounges. The main deck saloon exudes understated elegance, adorned with neutral soft furnishings, deep Ziricote veneers, and vibrant pops of color from intricate glass wall hangings and custom fabrics. This space is complemented by a bar, C-shaped settee, and a 12-person dining table.
ASIA accommodates 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms. Four doubles on the lower deck are directly connected to the beach club, while two supreme owner’s suites occupy the main and owner’s decks. The main deck owner’s suite features a private lounge and walkaround ensuite with a rainfall shower and bathtub, finished with light woods, subtle gold detailing, textured carpets, and marble.
The owner’s suite spans an entire deck, featuring a personal sky lounge, his-and-her ensuites, an office, and private decks both forward and aft. The bedroom offers a king-size centerline bed with panoramic views and direct access to a foredeck complete with a Jacuzzi and casual dining and lounge area. ASIA’s crew quarters are generously sized and finished to high standards, hosting up to 18 crew members. The technical area is concentrated forward, allowing the crew to navigate the vessel easily without disturbing guests.
Our colleague and Operations Director Bart de Haan, states, “The leading request on the owner’s brief was comfort, not speed. We opted for a round bilge displacement hull, paying great attention to stability and operational performance in all weather conditions.” As a result, ASIA boasts an impressive range and is highly fuel-efficient, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey.
