Explorer yacht Aqua Lares (ex Legend) is a fully classified Class 1 icebreaking ship and was annouced the best superyacht in the Rebuild category at the World Superyacht Awards in 2017. Her sturdy and bold lines give her a stunning look, she is a well equipped go-anywhere anytime yacht.  She is converted into a superb charter yacht, capable of carrying 30 guests. Because the explorer yacht can house so many guests, it is importand that Aqua Lares doesn’t lose her safety and strength as an icebreaker. The vessel was originally built by the IHC Holland shipyard. Alongside the technical and system upgrades, the exterior of Aqua Lares is also modified. The stern is extended by 3.6 metres and equipped with a swimming platform and a swimming pool. So guests can explore in comfort.

Aqua Lares (ex Legend) features 15 elegant design cabins across five categories, including three owner’s suites, each suite is individually designed and custom-furnished down to the smallest detail. There is a 16-person jacuzzi, cinema room, spa and gym. The helicopter landing pad is commercially certified. Further on a submarine can be stored in a garage on the forward deck. The project was managed by Verkerk Yachting Projects. The design and the engineering were by Diana Yacht Design so she is fully Lloyds certified (Solas passenger yacht 30 pax ). Aqua Lares is built for serious adventure expeditions. Therefore she has all the facilities required for charters in the remote areas of the world; such as the Arctic, Greenland, the Fjords of South America and Northern Europe.
