Introducing Project 111.11
Van der Valk shipyard has launched motor yacht ONE (34m), known during her build as Project 111.11, on May 30 2024, at their facilities in Waalwijk. Born from the vision of owners with over three decades of maritime adventure, motor yacht ONE embodies the pinnacle of bespoke yacht design.
The journey began in early 2022 when the clients approached the yard with a design for a 37-metre yacht and in-depth discussions led to a request that Van der Valk suggest a size that would accommodate theire key wishes: five luxurious suites, a sky lounge, a main salon, and a multifunctional beach club/tender garage in the stern. Motor yacht ONE is built on the proven full-displacement, reinforced all-aluminium hull pioneered on the award-winning Lady Lene, ensuring unmatched performance and stability.
The owners have modelled the superstructure of Project 111.11 entirely to their preferences. They selected twin Volvo Penta 750 hp continuous duty commercial engines, delivering a top speed of 14.4 knots. The yacht’s exterior design, crafted in collaboration with Guido de Groot, meets the challenging desire to incorporate four decks of entertainment facilities within a compact 34-metre length. The exterior boasts sleek, straight lines with angles that guide the eye forward, and the fashion plates aft rise seamlessly to the hardtop. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the salon, opening to the aft and portside dining areas, invite natural light and offer expansive al fresco seating.
Inside, Carla Guilhem Design has crafted a futuristic yet harmonious interior, blending super-smooth rounded shapes with a monochrome palette. This carte blanche design ensures every detail reflects the owner’s unique style. The yacht’s naval architecture, construction, and engineering are a testament to the collaboration between Ginton Naval Architects and our Diana Yacht Design team. Motor yacht ONE features a fold-out platform aft and a lazarette designed for jet-skis, creating a superb relaxation area.
Over the next two weeks, ONE, will undergo final outfitting, system commissioning, and initial river trips. A full shakedown trial is scheduled for July, where the yacht will be tested on the North Sea. We look forward to sharing more images and details of this stunning vessel. Stay tuned for updates and get ready to witness the craftsmanship and design excellence that defines ONE.
