Lalabe wins World Yachts Trophee
The 35-metere LALABE build by by Van der Valk Shipyard wins the best Semi Custom Yacht Trophee at the awards gala of the World Yachts Trophies 2025 in Cannes. LALABE made her world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is another custom design based on the proven platform of the award-winning Lady Lene, developed by Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architecture. With a fast displacement hull and twin MAN engines, Lalabe reaches speeds up to 17 knots, offering both performance and comfort at sea.
Guido de Groot Design is responsible for LALABE’s exterior and interior design in close collaboration with the owners. Designed as a floating family retreat, LALABE features a beach-style aft cockpit with alfresco dining, sauna, steam room, and direct sea access via a transformer platform.
Inside-outside living is central to Lalabe’s concept, with flexible spaces such as the bridge deck saloon, which opens on three sides to merge with the outdoors. Her elegant explorer-inspired profile incorporates dark accents and softened lines to balance form and function while ensuring safety for all ages onboard.
