Lalabe launched

Van der Valk Shipyard successfully launched the 35-metre custom superyacht Lalabe (ex. project Samba) at its Waalwijk facility. Designed for a discerning multi-generational family, Lalabe will now enter the next phase of final outfitting and sea trials before her delivery this summer.

The sleek, all-aluminium tri-deck yacht is based on the proven platform of the award-winning Lady Lene, developed by Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architecture. With a fast displacement hull and twin MAN engines, Lalabe reaches speeds up to 17 knots, offering both performance and comfort at sea.

Exterior and interior styling are by Guido de Groot design, created in close collaboration with the owners. Designed as a floating family retreat, Lalalbe features a beach-style aft cockpit with alfresco dining, sauna, steam room, and direct sea access via a transformer platform. The open-plan galley, luxurious main deck master suite, and generous guest and crew accommodations reflect the yacht’s focus on both livability and style.

Inside-outside living is central to Lalabe’s concept, with flexible spaces such as the bridge deck saloon, which opens on three sides to merge with the outdoors. Her elegant explorer-inspired profile incorporates dark accents and softened lines to balance form and function while ensuring safety for all ages onboard.

Lalabe will make her public debut at the Cannes Festival this September.
