Moonen 122 Martinique series reaches tenth hull as construction of YN208 progresses
Construction of Moonen Yachts’ YN208 has reached a major milestone with the successful turning of the steel hull at Talsma Shipyards in the Netherlands. The project remains on schedule for delivery in June 2027.
YN208 is the tenth yacht built on the Moonen 122 Martinique platform, for which Diana Yacht Design is responsible for the naval architecture. Reaching a tenth hull is more than a production milestone. It reflects the maturity of a platform that has been developed, engineered and constructed repeatedly over time. For the shipyard and project team, this accumulated experience supports efficient execution, predictable engineering and confidence throughout the build process.
The hull turning marks the transition into the next phase of construction. Built upside down during the initial fabrication stages, the hull is now ready to progress through outfitting and further assembly.
Designed by René van der Velden, with an interior concept by Vripack Yacht Design, YN208 continues the evolution of the Moonen 122 Martinique series while maintaining the characteristics that have defined the platform from the outset. As naval architect, Diana Yacht Design remains closely involved in the development of the series, supporting the shipyard with the technical expertise required to bring each project from concept to delivery.
