LALABE receives a Judges' Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards 2026
We are proud to see LALABE recognised with a Judges’ Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards 2026 in the category Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts – 35m to 39.9m. The award was presented during the ceremony held in Venice, Italy.
The recognition follows an exceptional awards season for the 35-metre custom aluminium superyacht, which earlier this year also received multiple honours at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards 2026, including Best Naval Architecture.
Delivered in the Netherlands by Dutch shipyard Van der Valk Shipyard in 2025, LALABE was developed as a multigenerational family superyacht that balances performance, comfort and efficient use of volume within the 300 GT range. The yacht combines a fast-displacement hull capable of 17 knots with nearly 299 GT of interior volume, while integrating features such as a beach club with sauna and an upper saloon that opens on three sides.
The exterior design was developed by Guido de Groot, while Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects developed the naval architecture for the project and supported the yacht engineering throughout the build process. The project required close coordination between design, structural development and yacht construction to integrate the yacht’s performance targets, layout and onboard functionality into a cohesive platform.
As part of the wider project team, we are proud to have contributed to a project shaped through close collaboration between owner, shipyard, designers and technical partners. Recognition such as this reflects the collective expertise and craftsmanship behind the development and construction of a custom Dutch superyacht.
We congratulate the owners, Van der Valk Shipyard, Guido de Groot, Ginton Naval Architects and all project partners on this achievement.
