Peregrine (ex. Heerlijckheid, ex. Livadia, ex. Livia) is a 30 metre displacement motor yacht built by Moonen Yachts in the Netherlands and delivered in 2010. She was nominated for the World Superyacht Awards 2011 in the “Best Displacement Motor Yacht Below 500GT” category. Featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a 7m beam, 2,18 m draft, and a volume of 192 GT, she is the third yacht in Moonen’s impressive line of 30-metre steel-hulled displacement cruisers.
Diana Yacht Design was responsible for the naval architecture, engineering, and construction. Her round-bilged hull form was engineered to ensure exceptional comfort at sea. Built to Lloyd’s Register Class and MCA Certification, she is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 engines with a top speed of 13 knots and comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots.
Accommodation is provided for up to nine guests across four deluxe cabins, including an on-deck master suite with walk-in closet, one VIP stateroom, and two guest suites, all with ensuite bathrooms. Additionally, the yacht accommodates four crew members in a comfortable forward living area. Interior design by Art-Line reflects a “New England/American Beach House” aesthetic.
Exterior design by René van der Velden features a sleek low-profile with an elegant flared bow and sloping stern with twin stairways. Throughout the yacht, deck areas maximize alfresco living, with an efficient flybridge designed for outdoor relaxation.
Furthermore, owners and guests enjoy the most peaceful of cruises thanks to a comprehensive sound and vibration attenuation programme. In addition to deploying the finest noise-absorbing insulation, Moonen has eliminated vibration at source by giving the yacht’s highly skewed propeller 50 percent more clearance between the blade tip and hull surface.
