At the beginning of August, the steel hull for the new 35m Jangada arrived at the Van der Valk shipyard, marking a significant step in the construction of this exceptional 35-metre yacht. Commissioned by a repeat client, this latest Jangada is the third project to bear the name Jangada, She will be the largest raised pilothouse the yard has ever built, making it the most sophisticated addition to the series.

Designed in collaboration with designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot, the new Jangada is a testament to the innovative vision of her owner, who has worked closely with the team for months to bring his ideas to life. This highly customized vessel will combine aesthetic beauty with functional elegance, highlighting the superior craftsmanship and attention to detail that define the Van der Valk brand.

In addition, in a departure from Van der Valk’s typical aluminum hull construction, the owner opted for a steel hull to achieve the highest levels of noise and vibration attenuation. To realize this request, the yard partnered with Gebr. Buijs Shipbuilders, renowned for their expertise in steel hull fabrication. Consequently, the combined efforts of both the teams have resulted in a robust yet refined structure, thereby setting new standards in comfort and stability.
