Diana Yacht Design is finalizing the design for the transformation of the 73 metre (214ft) explorer yacht Legend (ex-Giant). ICON Yachts has been commissioned to complete this bespoke conversion project.
Legend is a fully classified Class 1 icebreaking ship, which will be converted into a superb charter yacht, capable of carrying 30 guests, without losing her safety and strength as an icebreaker. The vessel was originally built to the highest specifications by the IHC Holland shipyard.
The render underneath gives a good impression of the major scale of this refit.
Nimbus’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests overnight in 4 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. Nimbus features a full displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.
Motor yacht Nimbus is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience underway. Powered by 2 Caterpillar (C-18 DITA) 601hp diesel engines and propelled by her twin screws propelles motor yacht Nimbus is capable of a top speed of 13 knots and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
